Engaged, Dynamic Dialogue

We all have the need to feel seen, heard, and understood, yet many people are starved for this kind of connection. Therapy can help. This does not mean that I sit idly, nodding my head at everything you say. It does mean active, engaged listening, mirroring and validating your experience, and providing insightful feedback and guidance on how to move forward. When we feel accepted by someone who is compassionate and present, we can begin to fully accept ourselves. Then we can change.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” Carl Rogers
