Expressive Arts

In expressive arts therapy, we engage the imagination as a healing agent. We may use drawing, collage, writing, movement, or sandtray to help access and resolve painful experiences, or to experiment with and envision possible futures. The goal of expressive arts therapy is not to create something beautiful or artistic, although this sometimes happens; rather, the goal is to allow you to be fully expressed. This can be very healing and restorative. You do not have to be artistic in any way to benefit from this type of work.
